Currently at Epic Escape Waalwijk, there is one Escape Experience available: Illusion.

Illusion is a 90-minute experience and has been ranked among the top escape rooms on platforms such as EscapeTalk.nl for many years. It is also considered one of the best Escape Rooms in the world.!

Unfortunately, Illusion will be closing in 2026. The exact closing date has not yet been announced.

Meanwhile, a new Escape Experience is being developed at another location in Waalwijk: Curiosa. This brand-new experience will open on May 22, 2026. Follow our social media for more information.

Our Escape Experiences are much more than just rooms where puzzles are solved. They are complete immersive experiences, featuring a deep storyline, a strong combination of video and audio elements, and an environment that allows visitors to fully experience the mystery. In addition, both experiences feature fully original music, composed and performed by musicians specifically for these experiences. All these elements come together to create a fully immersive experience, which is why the term 'Escape Experience' is fully justified.

We vragen onze bezoekers tussen de 10 en 15 minuten voor de starttijd aanwezig te zijn. Na de reservering krijg je een automatische bevestigingsmail met daarin het exacte tijdstip.

We understand that there may be reasons why you are no longer able to visit. You can cancel your Escape Experience free of charge up to 48 hours before the start time, either by phone or via your confirmation email using the cancellation button. If you cancel by phone up to 24 hours in advance, you will receive a 50% refund of the total amount paid. If you cancel by phone less than 24 hours before your start time, the full reservation amount will be charged. Refunds will be processed within 7 working days.

Please note: As Illusion will be closing in 2026, demand for the time slots are higher than usual. If you would still like to experience Illusion, we recommend booking a new time slot as soon as possible.

We understand that delays can happen. However, arriving late may affect our schedule for the rest of the day. If you expect to be late, please let us know as soon as possible so we can check whether a later start is still possible. If this is not the case, we will work out a suitable solution.

To ensure the best possible experiences and to keep the mysteries inside, we ask all visitors to store any electronic devices in advance. Our staff will be happy to assist you with this.

During your visit phones, smartwatches, flashlights, lighters and other electronic devices are not allowed.

So called 'smart glasses', such as Meta glasses that can record, are also not allowed. These must be stored in a locker. If you rely on glasses, please make sure to bring a version without camera. If you only have camera-enable glasses with you, it will unfortunately not be possible to participate in the experience. Epic Escape Waalwijk cannot be held responsible in such cases.

Food and drinks are not allowed inside the experience, except for a small bottle of water.

The locker key will remain with one member of your group. All belongings will, of course, be returned to you after your visit.

We strive to offer everyone the best possible experience and are happy to think along with you.

During the experiences, light and sound effects are used, as well as harmless water-based smoke effects. These may be experienced as intense by some visitors. Because of this we do not recommend participation for guests with epilepsy or severe claustrophobia.

The minimum age is 16 years. If there are participants under the age of 16, at least one adult aged 21 or older must accompany each minor.

Our experiences are not suitable for visitors who need to use a wheelchair throughout the entire experience.

If you are pregnant or have limited mobility, we kindly ask you to contact us by phone in advance so we can discuss the possibilities together.

Currently, we do not sell vouchers. We also do not accept vouchers or discount offers from third parties.

In the past, vouchers were sold. These remain valid and can still be redeemed when making a reservation.

Our Escape Experiences are suitable for groups of 2 to a maximum of 6 people at a time: 3 to 6 for Illusion, and 2 to 5 for Curiosa. If your team falls within these group sizes, you are very welcome for a team building at Epic Escape Waalwijk.

For larger groups, we recommend splitting the group. While one group takes part in the experience, the others can stay at a central location.

For this, we recommend 't Bourgondisch Hof in Waalwijk. From this central location, each group can take part in the Escape Experience in turns.

At 't Bourgondisch Hof, you can also enjoy activities such as bowling, karaoke, or a game of glow golf.

Yes, Escape Experience Illusion is playable in English. However, we would like to emphasize that at least two of the group members must have a good to excellent knowledge of the English language, so everyone should be able to read and understand all elements of the Escape Experience.

Escape Experience Illusion offers a unique, fully immersive experience. With impressive special effects, a dark storyline, and audio and video elements created especially for this experience. You are completely drawn into the story. To allow this experience to fully come to life, a duration of 90 minutes is essential.

Escape Experience Illusion may be experienced as scary by some visitors. This is due to building tension and the use of light and sound effects. This subtle sense of suspense is present throughout the entire experience. However, there are no actors present who will intentionally scare you.

For practical and safety reasons, we do have a minimal and maximum group size. For Escape Experience Illusion, groups of 3 to 6 people are welcome simultaneously.

This choice has been made to ensure the best possible experience for everyone. The space is designed for groups up to 6 people, and the puzzles are made for this group size. With fewer than 3 people, the challenge becomes too demanding, and there is simply too much to do within the 90-minute experience.

There are free parking spaces available directly in front of the venue for our guests.

As Illusion is located on an industrial area, it is less easily accessible by public transport. We therefore recommend travelling by car. Free parking is available for your guests. If you do choose to travel by public transport, please note that it is approximately a 15 to 30 minute walk from Waalwijk Vredesplein bus station (near Theater De Leest).

At our location, we have a spacious and comfortable lounge room where you can enjoy a drink before or after your experience. We offer a wide selection of hot and cold beverages, as well as a rotating assortment of small snacks.

We ask that you arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled start time. Arriving earlier is not possible to prevent spoilers. Please note that we do not have a full-service bar or restaurant. For a more extensive dining experience, we recommend visiting the center of Waalwijk.

Yes, that is correct. After five very successful years, during which we have welcomed thousands of guests to Illusion, our location permit at Sluisweg will come to an end. We are incredibly grateful to all our visitors and hope to welcome you again in the future at our new projects.

We are currently discussing the exact final opening date, but this will be in 2026. Fortunately, there is something new to look forward to: on May 22, 2026, we will open a brand-new Escape Experience at another location in Waalwijk: Curiosa.

This new adventure takes you to a boutique in the Center of Waalwijk. For years, mysterious activities have taken place behind the elegant doors of this establishment, hidden beneath the façade of a seemingly charming curiosities shop. According to the owner, Jeannette Gourmand, everything is exactly as it seems. But appearances can be deceiving... Behind the refined exterior lies a dark double life.

Yes, Curiosa does include some scenes that may be experienced as scary by some guests. While we do not aim to create a horror experience, there are certainly intense moments. These include scenes that take place in complete darkness, as well as situations that create an unsettling atmosphere. Players may encounter themes related to death during the experience.

Due to the level of difficulty and intensity of the experience, we apply a minimum age of 16 years. Curiosa includes challenging elements that require an active and independent contribution from each participant.

If there are participants under the age of 16, at least one adult aged 21 or older must accompany each minor.

Free parking is available for our guests at 't Bourgondisch Hof.

Curiosa is not easily accessible by public transport. We therefore recommend travelling by car. Free parking is available for guests. If you do choose to travel by public transport, please note that it is approximately a 10 minute walk from Busstop Vredesplein in Waalwijk.

During the operating hours of 't Bourgondisch Hof, you are welcome to enjoy food and drinks there before or after your visit to Escape Experience Curiosa. Outside the opening hours of 't Bourgondisch Hof, it is still possible to have a drink at our location after the experience.

It is not permitted to bring your own food or drinks.
